Geodesics from classical double copy

چکیده

We extend the Kerr-Schild double copy to case of a probe particle moving in background. In particular, we solve Wong's equations for test color charge Coulomb non-Abelian potential ($\sqrt{\text{Schw}}$) and on equatorial plane generated by rotating disk known as single Kerr background ($\sqrt{\text{Kerr}}$). The orbits, corresponding geodesics gravity side, feature elliptic, circular, hyperbolic plunge behavior charged particle. then find new map between conserved charges gauge theory side which enables us fully recover geodesic Schwarzschild Kerr. Interestingly, works naturally both bound unbound orbits.

Radiation and the classical double copy for color charges

We construct perturbative classical solutions of the Yang-Mills equations coupled to dynamical point particles carrying color charge. By applying a set of color to kinematics replacement rules first introduced by Bern, Carrasco and Johansson, these are shown to generate solutions of d-dimensional dilaton gravity, which we also explicitly construct. Agreement between the gravity result and the g...

Static spherically symmetric Kerr-Schild metrics and implications for the classical double copy

We discuss the physical interpretation of stress-energy tensors that source static spherically symmetric Kerr-Schild metrics. We find that the sources of such metrics with no curvature singularities or horizons do not simultaneously satisfy the weak and strong energy conditions. Sensible stress-energy tensors usually satisfy both of them. Under most circumstances, these sources are not perfect ...

Basket Implied Volatility from Geodesics

This paper presents a deterministic numerical method to calculate the implied volatility of an option based on multiple assets using a stochastic volatility model. The approach uses Varadhan asymptotics for the diffusion kernel and involves the constrained minimization of a numerically computed geodesic length. We produce implied volatilities for baskets with 10 – 50 elements using the SABR sto...

Electron impact double ionization of helium from classical trajectory calculations

With a recently proposed quasiclassical ansatz [Geyer and Rost, J. Phys. B 35 (2002) 1479] it is possible to perform classical trajectory ionization calculations on many electron targets. The autoionization of the target is prevented by a Møller type backward–forward propagation scheme and allows to consider all interactions between all particles without additional stabilization. The applicatio...

Geodesics or Autoparallels from a Variational Principle?

Recently it has been argued that autoparallels should be the correct description of free particle motion in spaces with torsion, and that such trajectories can be derived from variational principles if these are suitably adapted. The purpose of this letter is to call attention to the problems that such attempts raise, namely the requirement of a more elaborate structure in order to formulate th...
